According to a report on Wednesday, Rogers recently appeared in court, where he was sentenced to serve 20 to 36 months after pleading guilty to possession of heroin in Brunswick County Superior Court.
N.C. Department of Correction records show Rogers has a lengthy criminal history, having last served time in 2014 for an assault on Evans," Star News Online reported.
"[Rogers] was featured in a WECT report released last month on local heroin use and was identified as a 'recovering heroin addict.'" the site revaled. "In the report, Rogers spoke about battling his addiction and said he was currently sober."
However, while in court on Wednesday, Rogers admitted to using heroin just 45 days ago.
"His attorney said Rogers had been clean while he was in Florida, but once he returned to Brunswick County he began using again," the report revealed.
Evans married Rogers in a North Carolina courthouse in 2012, just a few months after they started dating. Then, just one month later, Evans and Rogers split amid claims of an assault on the then-pregnant reality star, who later lost the baby.
Although Evans and Rogers attempted to mend their marriage months later, they eventually parted ways in April 2013, and their divorce was finalized a year later.
Since then, Evans has dated a couple of men, including her former fiance, Nathan Griffith, and current boyfriend David Eason.
