'Days of Our Lives' Spoilers: Will The New Year See A DiMera Death In Salem? [PHOTO]
Fans of Days of Our Lives may think they've seen enough of characters dying with the onslaught of victims from the Necktie Killer, in addition to Aiden Jennings and Bo Brady's deaths in recent months, but the New Year in Salem could still possibly see a shocking departure.
According to Soap Shows, Thaao Penghlis, who portrays Andre DiMera on the soap, has teased some devastation coming the DiMera family's way in 2016, which means another member of one of Salem's most illustrious crime families could be in for a surprise death.
"You won't believe what happens in Jan-Feb. Great scenes but tragedy is part of the DiMera life," he said.
Penghlis has not since elaborated on what tragedy may befall the family-which saw the deaths of both EJ and Kristen in the past year, but there could be something ominous in their futures after all.
Things were recently rough for Chad (Billy Flynn), who was put into a coma, and then nearly killed a second time, all at the hands of Ben (Robert Scott Wilson), who tried framing him for the Necktie murders in a psychotic attempt to keep Abigail (Kate Mansi) for himself. However, that story has since wrapped, with Chad safe and alive, and Ben finally in police custody.
Andre and Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) have been dealing with a crisis however regarding Sami (Alison Sweeney), who received a letter from EJ that he wrote before he died, where he gave her access to all the secret family bank accounts-that she then drained, leaving the DiMera's without their fortune.
That storyline, which has yet to be resolved, could be the one that brings tragedy to the DiMera clan.
Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
