Now a Super Bowl champion, Baltimore Ravens' quarterback Joe Flacco's life was definitively altered forever when he helped his team capture the Vince Lombardi trophy and obtained a Super Bowl MVP award in the process.

Not only did Flacco silence his critics, he will more than likely go on to become one of the wealthiest quarterbacks in the NFL after his three touchdown performance in the first half on the championship gridiron.

However, football accolades aside, the star signal caller announced yet another achievement on Sunday, that he and his wife, Dana, are expecting their second child, news they had to kept amongst themselves up until that point, according to Los Angeles Times.

USA Today reports that the young couple gathered their parents around the table early during a party and secretly broke them the news, which inevitably spread throughout the rest of the room.

Karen Flacco, the mother of the Ravens quarterback, spoke about her son's fatherhood revelation.

"He's hit the trifecta. Somebody asks me if Joe was going to go win the lottery tonight. I said, 'He already has.'"

Flacco's mother also was quick to point out that her son and his wife had actually broke the news about their first child proceeding another Baltimore win over the San Francisco 49ers, which was on Thanksgiving night in 2011.

"It's a 49ers tradition now," Karen stated.

"It's a good luck thing," Flacco told The Baltimore Sun.

Dana had given birth to son Stephen Vincent Flacco on June 13, who was born at eight pounds.

With Flacco still not signed for the 2013-14 season, the Ravens will surely attempt to accommodate that as soon as possible.

"[Owner Steve Bisciotti] told me if this happens [a Super Bowl win], I can pound on his desk and stick it to him. That's exactly what I'm going to do," Flacco told the NFL Network.
