Sandra Bullock at Super Bowl XLVII, Supports 'Blind Side' Player Michael Oher
Sandra Bullock attended the Super Bowl on Feb. 3, in New Orleans to support Baltimore Ravens player Michael Oher - who the actress played the mother of in the biographical film The Blind Side.
The Oscar-winner and her 3-year-old son Louis cheered inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome as the Ravens celebrated their Super Bowl win, a first for Oher. Bullock even dressed her son on an Oher jersey, Yahoo reported.
Oher, 26, was the inspiration behind the 2009 biopicThe Blind Side about a woman who opened her home to a homeless teen and helped him go after his love of football. Bullock played Leigh Anne Tuohy, a mother of two who let Oher into her family and who eventually adopted the teen (played by Quinton Aaron). The role earned Bullock her first Academy Award win.
The 48-year-old and her son sat with the Tuohys at the Super Bowl on Sunday and the real Leigh Ann Tuohy said Bullock is Oher's No. 1 fan.
"She follows Michael's career every step of the way," Tuohy said about the actress. "It's funny... I'll get texts [from her] during the game: 'Why did they do this? They should have done that.'"
The Ravens won the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers by three points (34-31). After the game, Oher celebrated his win with his adopted family and posted on Instagram a photo of him with his adopted brother Sean Tuohy.
Baltimore quarterback and MVP Joe Flacco completed 22-of-33 passes for 287 yards and three first-half touchdowns Sunday. After the halftime, Justin Tucker finished two field goals and a defense led by Lewis stopped the 49ers from a fourth-and-goal at the 5 mark.
The Ravens on Tuesday will participate in the annual after-Super Bowl parade in the team's hometown. The parade will begin at City Hall and end at M&T Bank Stadium, according to WBAL TV's Donna Hamilton.
