Another day, another tabloid rumor about how Queen Elizabeth is supposedly controlling Kate Middleton's life. This time around there's a report that says the Queen had supposedly 'quietly advised' the Duchess to get a more "appropriate" hairstyle as she was none too happy about the one she was sporting in recent weeks.

According to the Daily Mail on Saturday, the Duchess has debuted a new modern and much shorter look and apparently it also has the Queen's seal of approval. And fortunately for everyone involved, the Duchess' new look has been getting rave reviews from both fans and critics alike.

A royal source told the site, "When Kate starting lowering the hems on her dresses last year, it was widely reported she was doing it with the backing of the Queen, who was keen she avoid wardrobe malfunctions on windy days. Now I hear that Her Majesty's views on hairstyles may be why Kate has been adopting a more 'sensible' look."

What's more, the Duchess supposedly got Queen Elizabeth's memo about her hair several months ago but instead of complying right away, she's been making small changes throughout the weeks.

The insider added, "Word reaches me Kate was quietly advised to swap the glamour girl hairdo she sported at Wimbledon in July for a length more appropriate for a future head of The Firm. But as she did not want to admit defeat quickly, she has been making the transition in stages."

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the report. Keep up with Enstars for all the latest news on Kate Middleton, Queen Elizabeth and all of your favorite British royal celebrities right here.
