Are Carson and Mrs. Hughes going to get it on when Downton Abbey returns?

Final Episode Of 'Downton Abbey' Will Be 'Really Satisfying'

On Friday, some of the cast members from the British drama made an appearance on The View where Phyllis Logan (Mrs. Hughes) answered Raven Symone's question on if her character and Carson will finally "consummate."

As it turns out, it could definitely happen since the two will have that conversation later on.

"That's a bit below the belt so to speak," Logan said. "They have a slight discussion about that in the forthcoming season and because it's a bit of worry to Mrs. Hughes if that will be acknowledged in any way."

Allen Leech (Branson) then dished on his character since it appears he's coming back for the new season. Revealing a "bit of a spoiler," the actor mentioned that Branson may find an important part of himself back home.

"He does discover that maybe his home and his heart belong back at Downton," Leech said.

Some of the cast members also made a recent appearance on Good Morning America to discuss what's to come. Hugh Bonneville (Robert Crawley) mentioned that his character might finally come out of his shell.

"He finds his place in the changing world of Downton Abbey eventually," Bonneville said. "But this final season has many of the favors of the very first season where we really got to know these characters first and everything seems to come back down into exploring those characters that we've loved."

Downton Abbey Season 6 premieres in the United States on Sunday, January 3 on PBS.
