On Friday, Entertainment Weekly announced that a singer named Autumn will join the series for a "major" role. She is someone who can "top the charts" and "sell out arenas."

The description of Autumn continues with how great she is by saying, "she's a respected singer who's paid her dues and who's managed to both cross over to pop, and thrive in the era of bro country. Autumn can do it all, and does, because she's dedicated her life to it. Women want to be her and men want to be with her."

Even though everyone seems to look up to this woman, her life isn't all that perfect. It turns out that it's hard for her to find a partner she can share her life with to because she's so iconic.

"Never married, but perpetually involved, Autumn struggles to find real love in her life," the description reads. "When you're as famous as she is, it's hard to find men who aren't threatened by her, or sold on the fantasy."

Autumn will be played by Alicia Witt whose previous credits include Two Weeks Notice, 88 Minutes and Cybill. Her TV credits include Justified, Friday Night Lights and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

Nashville airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
