Check out the opening sequence for the new season of Degrassi.

'Degrassi' Is Going To Have 'Fresh & New' Stories

The series that continues this winter on Netflix will have a number of returning names, including Tristan, Miles and Maya. The sequence shows a bunch of photos with all the characters and how they appear in technology. There are text messages with photos as well as videos with the high schoolers having fun with friends and lovers.

There are also plenty of little emojis that show the real love that goes around campus.

When students respond to these happy moments, they give the cliché technical responses like 'lolz' and 'haha.' And even though there is always drama taking place, these people will never forget the cherishing moments that high school can sometimes deliver.

Conveniently enough, the song 'Whatever It Takes' is playing in the background with a more upbeat rhythm that the show originally used.

Franchise creator Linda Schuyler previously spoke with The Hollywood Reporter on how the series is going to revolve around how teenagers adapt to new technologies. But everyone will still go through the typical rise and fall.

"At its core, it's the teenage experience of the 1980s and 1990s, and then the millennials, and now we're talking to Generation Z," Schuyler revealed. "There's so much common experience that all teenagers go through, that's the familiar side of Degrassi."

Degrassi: Next Class will premiere on Friday, January 15 on Netflix.
