CW's Vampire Diaries will kick into high gear on Thursday with an all-new episode titled Into The Wild, with the group desperately searching for the vampire cure while on a trek to Nova Scotia.

The latest installment of Season four will feature the group in an unorthodox environment, as they'll be outside of the dark Mystic Falls and on a bright sunny beach instead.

The supernatural vampire drama will feature Shane leading the expedition in the midst of a desolate island just off the coast of Nova Scotia, where he thinks the secret of the cure can be found.

With Klaus left behind in Mystic Falls, the group heads to the magical island, clearly a place they aren't welcomed at. The place remote location turns out to be extremely unpredictable and unsafe, as someone falls from a distance and Jeremy is attacked by somebody that's not a member of the group.

The situation gets even more serious when Damon informs Shane that he no longer has any trust for the professor.

Meanwhile, trouble is clearly starting to brew between Elena and Rebekah, but Stefan's rekindled love with the latter woman isn't helping the matter much. Elena queries Damon about using the cure. However, his response is "I don't want to speculate."

Also, Bonnie and Jeremy will try to figure out the message of the Hunter's mark. Shane will end up revealing more of the legend of Silas and the witch, Qetsiyah, as well as details on his personal history.

The topic of the cure will call into question each of the vampires beliefs, such as if they'd want to be human again, or what person would be deserving of it if it were only meant for one person.

The Vampire Diaries is set to air on Thursday at 8 pm EST on the CW network.
