Abby & Sebastian Will 'Team-Up' In 'NCIS' & 'NCIS: New Orleans' Crossover
This episode is called "Blue Christmas" and CCH Pounder's character Dr. Loretta Wade will go into protective mode instantaneously when it comes to Danny since she did adopt him.
Pounder chatted with TVLine about the episode, admitting, she'll be all "hands on hip" since she'll be portraying her character as a protective mother bear essentially.
"Danny is going to be in the thick of it," Pounder dished, adding, "It's about being in the wrong place at the wrong time, profiling... that whole ball of wax."
The actress also revealed that this episode will touch on Crescent City's shortcomings with public schooling and other hot topics, but it will do so "in a loving way instead of an admonishing, 'This is what's wrong with your city.'"
Since this episode will focus on Danny, viewers will see through him "a few more glimpses into New Orleans and some of the difficulties the city has had."
While the episode is tackling touchy topics that causes friction between Loretta and Pride (Scott Bakula), as seen in the preview video below, things might end up okay in the end based on some of the photos from the episode.
Below, Pride and Loretta appear to be getting along just fine although this may be before Danny is found to be connected to the string of crimes based on the preview video.
Most of the NCIS team even appear together with Danny and his younger brother CJ (Dani Dare) in another shot, looking quite festive.
Plus, there is a shot of Loretta wearing her coat after getting Danny out of prison while she's with Pride and the others.
NCIS: New Orleans airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
