'Downton Abbey' Season 3 Spoilers: Will Sir Robert Allow Branson To Raise Baby Catholic?
The popular series Downton Abbey continues to draw millions of viewers in the U.S. just as it did in the U.K. Details on the upcoming episode 7 of season three have now surfaced on the Internet.
Last week's death of Lady Sybil Branson, the youngest daughter of the Crawleys, revealed that the show is headed in a unique direction theme-wise for its third season. PBS's latest installment ended with Sybil going into convulsions and dying after giving birth to a baby girl.
This week's episode will have Cora - who pointed the finger at Robert for insisting the late Sybil be treated as advised by the doctor - tell him that he's not yet welcome back in her bedroom.
"You let all that nonsense weigh against saving our daughter's life. Which is what I find so very hard to forgive," Cora states, according to The Huffington Post.
Sir Robert acted very confrontational over son-in-law Branson's preference to raise the baby as a Catholic. Robert differed on the idea and made the controversial decision to invite Mr. Travis, the local Church of England vicar, to dinner with the family.
Meanwhile, Carson the butler did not allow any members of the staff to deal with Ethel, who returned as Isobel Crawley's new cook and housekeeper. While working at Downton, the fallen maid got intimate with an officer who stayed in the home during the war. Immediately let go, she ultimately ended up having a child of her own without being married and resorted to prostitution in order to support them.
However, Mrs. Patmore agreed to help Ethel in her work - giving her tips on honing her cooking skills - but Robert barges into the luncheon and threw everything off.
The latest episode of Downton Abbey will air in the U.S. on Sunday, Feb. 10, on the PBS network.
