Could this be the final year for 2 Broke Girls?

Chatter On Max & Caroline's Adventures At The Gym On '2 Broke Girls'

It's certainly a possibility, based on Tuesday's report from TV By The Numbers. The CBS sitcom is currently at a 1.6 in the 18-49 rating and a 0.99 in the renew/cancel index. This sets the show in a tossup between a renewal and a cancellation by May 2016.

While these odds aren't great, they're not terrible either. If ratings rise before the end of the season, perhaps the girls might stick around for a sixth year. But nothing is guaranteed at this point.

As for other CBS shows that could be renewed or canceled in 2016, the ones that are at a tossup include Elementary, NCIS: Los Angeles and Code Black. Then there's The Good Wife and Hawaii Five-0, which are more likely to see their final days on television.

TV shows that fans can likely expect to stick around for another season include Limitless, Scorpion, NCIS, Criminal Minds and Life in Pieces. And luckily, The Big Bang Theory has already been renewed for another year.

A new episode of 2 Broke Girls airs on Thursday, December 17 at 9:30 p.m. ET on CBS.

The promo below shows more humor from the series as the diner employees visit an Alice in Wonderland- themed room. Both Max and Caroline are also going to keep the laughs rolling in.
