Justin Bieber 'SNL' Promo Video Released, Twitter Posts About Rehearsals [WATCH]
NBC released on Wednesday a promotional clip for the upcoming Saturday Night Live in which Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber will host, for the first time ever, and also perform as a musical guest.
Fans of the 18-year-old singer posted the video on Bieber's Twitter page, expressing their excitement for Saturday's show. Also on Wednesday, Bieber tweeted that he was rehearsing for the big show, along with the hashtag #BIEBERonSNL.
In the promo clip, Bieber stars along with SNL member Kenan Thompson. Bieber announced his hosting gig in a serious tone as Thompson acted like an obsessed Bieber fan. At one point, though, Bieber attempts to embrace his silly side.
To promote his upcoming appearance, Bieber went on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday. He told the late night talk show host "I'm nervous. But I think it's going to be fun. I've just got to remember to memorize the lines."
The singer also assured Fallon "my abs are not my musical guest," as he lifted his shirt to give viewers a peek at his body. During his time on the show, Bieber played a friendly game of basketball with Fallon in which he joked around by throwing noodles and kissing a certain brunette.
Also on Jimmy Fallon Tuesday was model Naomi Campbell and the band Local Natives. Campbell was excited to meet Bieber and posted online a photo of herself hugging the singer, along with the caption, "lovely to meet you."
Watch Bieber host and perform on SNL Saturday, Feb. 9, at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
His latest album, Believe Acoustic, was released Jan. 29, 2012, and the singer admitted that one of the new songs featured on the record was inspired by his breakup with Selena Gomez.
