'Fast and Furious 8' Spoilers: Which Actresses Are In The Running For The 'Furious 7' Sequel? [VIDEO]
The rumored list of actresses joining Fast and Furious 8 keeps getting longer.
Most recently, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone was reported to have associated with the movie as she sent out cryptic messages posting images with Vin Diesel on her Instagram.
Padukone has kept mum about what she and Diesel are working on together, but in a recent interview, she revealed that fans would find out soon.
"You will know soon. He is a friend. And he is someone I am extremely fond of. And more than anything else, he is an amazing person. But about everything else that everyone wants to know, you will know soon," she said.
Nothing is confirmed about the new actresses joinging the cast of the Furious 7 sequel yet. There is also a whole lot of speculation surrounding the possibility of actresses like Jordanna Brewster, who plays Mia Toretto, and Ronda Rousey returning for Fast and Furious 8.
Brewster hasn't written off her role just yet, as she hinted to the possibility of her coming back in an interview with Huffington Post Live.
"I don't know [if I'd do another film], but it's always dependent on the fans," she said. "If they want one and if there's an appetite for it. We never want to jump the shark!"
In an interview with MTV Rousey also gave her recommendation for the Furious 7 sequel.
Rousey went up against Michelle Rodriguez, and got quite the beating by by Rodriguez's Letty Ortiz. In an interview with MTV, when asked who she thought would make for a strong enemy in the next installment, Rousey picked someone from her professional realm.
"Joanna [Jedrzejczyk]. She's a chick who just won the 115-pound belt," Rousey said. "She's really tiny and skinny, but she's such a little ninja! I think it would be a such a cool addition - someone who looks really unassuming. I know I look good in a Herve Leger dress, but I also look like I could still kill you in it, and Joanna doesn't!"
Helen Mirren had previously spoken about her wish to go on the thrill ride with the Fast and Furious franchise and Vin Diesel has also agreed that it would be great to have her on board. What we don't know is if these are just entertaining sound bites or if the two parties are considering it seriously.
Another actress on the wish list is Cara DeLevingne. We know that she had a bitter falling out with Rodriguez, but the two seem to be in a good place now, and Rodriguez even welcomed the suggestion of DeLevingne joining the cast for the next movie.
From old characters, Eva Mendez reprising her role as Agent Fuentes from Fast and Furious 2 has also been doing the rounds.
Fast and Furious 8 will be released on April 15, 2017.
Furious 7 hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
