Since November, there has been chatter about the crossover event between NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans, which is airing just next month!

Pauley Perrette Divulges 'NCIS' Has 'A Scuba Script' Coming Up!

Viewers of the hit CBS shows know Abby's (Pauley Perrette) adopted brother Luca (Tyler Ritter) will appear in this crossover. That was actually one of the first bits of information revealed about the crossover.

Then, it seemed as though Emily Wickersham, the portrayer of Eleanor "Ellie" Bishop, would be making the trek from Washington, D.C. to New Orleans during the crossover.

Following that bit of information, Sebastian (Rob Kerkovich) seems to be heading to Washington D.C. to work with Abby on the joint case the two NCIS teams are investigating.

So it turns out all of that is totally true. CBS released the press releases for the two episodes, "Sister City: Part One" and "Sister City: Part Two," in which it details that "Part One" will be the NCIS episode airing at 8 p.m. while "Part Two" is the New Orleans episode airing at 9 p.m.

"Part One" will deal with Gibbs' (Mark Harmon) team working with Pride's (Scott Bakula) team after the passengers and crew from a private plane traveling from New Orleans to Washington D.C. will wind up dead from being "lethally poisoned." All the evidence will point to the missing chef, who happens to be Abby's brother, Luca.

The D.C. team will work with the New Orleans team to find Luca and determine why these people that work for a private tech company were targeted.

Then in "Part Two," Pride's team will investigate a Russian sleeper agent that had involvement with Abby's brother. Bishop does travel to New Orleans with a package and to work with Pride's team and Sebastian will head to D.C. to work alongside Abby on the forensics of the case.

Basically a lot is going to happen during this special crossover, but what's even more exciting is a teaser trailer has been released! The NCIS Twitter account revealed the trailer Thursday, which features Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) arresting Luca.

"This is my little brother Luca," Abby says as an introduction between Luca and DiNozzo as she stands beside her sibling.

"It's nice to meet you," DiNozzo replies, before adding the shocking and daunting statement, "You're under arrest," which leaves Abby floored.

Glimpses of Pride's team discussing the Russian sleeper agent are shown too.

Plus, Abby will ask Gibbs if she can "break" her brother.

"Abbs, either you do this or I will," Gibbs warns her.

The crossover airs on Jan. 5.

NCIS airs on Tuesdays on CBS at 8 p.m. ET while NCIS: New Orleans airs at 9 p.m. ET.
