Beyonce's PR Pleads With Websites to Remove Unflattering Photos
Beyoncé may have captivated millions of viewers during this year's halftime show at Super Bowl XLVII. But the photogenic superstar's publicist is not sitting pretty about some of the halftime show photos that may show her off in an unbecoming light. And so her publicist is doing what any good publicist would do: contacting all of the websites to get them to remove any unflattering shots taken of the performer during her recent Super Bowl appearance.
Out of hundreds of images that were captured of Beyoncé on Sunday, a fraction of them have been circulating on multiple websites including BuzzFeed. This past Monday, the website ran a piece including 33 of these photos. The article highlights what they consider to be the pop star's "fiercest moments" from the halftime show.
Yvette Noel-Schure, of Schure Media, represents Beyoncé and in her recent email to BuzzMedia on Feb. 5, which the website published, she not only listed the most unbecoming shots in number order that should be immediately removed, but the publicist also suggested that BuzzMedia instead swap these shots for "better," more suitable photos.
Gawker's Caity Weaver chimed in on the issue as well:
"Obviously, we'd never want to displease Beyoncé's publicist. But she clearly doesn't understand her client. According to the Third Immutable Natural Law Of Beyoncé, there is no better photo of Beyoncé than the photo of Beyoncé you are viewing, because at that moment, it is the best of all possible Beyoncé photos. This is one of the great Mysteries of Beyoncé."
She concluded her article by highlighting all of the photos that Beyoncé's publicist asked to have taken down.
What's your take on them? Do they show Beyoncé at her best or worst?
