'Law and Order SVU' Seaosn 17 Spoilers: What We Know So Far About The Next Chapter [VIDEO]
Although not too much is known about the next batch of episodes of season 17 of Law & Order: SVU, some information has been trickling through.
Taylor Swift Guest Starring In Season 17?
Most recently, an in interview with TVGuide, showrunner Warren Leight dished about the next episode, which is set to air in the new year. Leight really amped up the hype, stating that the rest of the season is going to start off with a bang.
"We're going to start off the year new, for people who worry about Olivia, with the scariest episode of the season," Leight said. "We haven't quite gone this far with her since the William Lewis [Pablo Schreiber] stuff."
Recently, Mariska Hargitay, who plays Olivia Benson on the series, tweeted about the return of the series suggesting it would be back in January.
Additionally, a report by Christian Today interpreted Hargitay tweet ro mean that Benson's old enemies might be back. The report also seems to be taking the mid-season finale episode in to consideration, wherein an old enemy of Benson's returned to haunt her.
Another episode to look forward to will be the one directed by Hargitay, the main plot of which will have to do with a sate rape according to a TVLine report.
In the fall finale episode, titled "Depravity Standard," Lewis Hoda (Tom Sizemore) returned and plead not guilty stating that he has been framed. In the clip Benson looks totally frazzled by the proceedings as Hoda claims his innocence and she is put back in the hot seat to solve this case.
The episode also marked the return of BD Wong as Dr. Huang.
The fall finale episode aired on Nov. 18.
