After losing primary custody of the 6-year-olds in October of this year, the Teen Mom 2 star took to Twitter, where she hinted something major was about to happen for herself and her children.

During a court hearing in October, as reported by In Touch Weekly, Messer lost primary custody of her daughters to her ex-husband, Corey Simms, who filed for full custody in 2014, and accused her of hiding a drug problem in the months that followed.

Then, weeks later, a Radar Online report claimed Messer had received an additional custody hearing after she was allegedly able to prove that she did not take her daughters to school late, as Simms accused her of doing.

“Leah is thrilled she got a court date,” an insider told Radar. “She’s been waiting for this opportunity for months. Leah thinks she has a good chance to get her daughters back. She’s optimistic.”

Another source added that the custody was scheduled for January, noting “she’s trying to get custody back to what it was” before the October ruling.

Leah Messer and the cast of Teen Mom 2 is currently in production on season seven, which is expected to premiere sometime next year on MTV.
