The official list of performers have been announced for the upcoming 55th annual Grammy Awards and Taylor Swift recently revealed that she will be the opening act for the show, according to MTV.

The 23-year-old singer appeared On Air With Ryan Seacrest to admit she was a bit surprised when she found out she was chosen to kick off the show.

"You know what's interesting about these perfomance, like we presented this performance to the Grammy committee...and they said, 'Okay, cool you have a performance spot.' And then like a week ago, they call is and are like, 'Oh, by the way, you're opening the show.' It's not like they approach you...It just surprises me I was going to go first," she said over the phone.

Grammy executive Ken Ehrlich also called in to Seacrest's radio show and hinted that Swift's performance would be one that has never been seen before.

"She's incredibly creative. They came to us with an idea, I'm not going to say what song it is, but I can promise you as it has been the last couple years with her...it's a Taylor, you've never seen before and it's really exciting. It fills the stage," Enrlich said.

"Oh my god, it's Grammy week, it's so hectic. I have a lot to plan for with the opening performance and I'm just really hoping all the pieces come together his week. Because this is when it really gets really crazy, but it's all very exciting too," Swift told Seacrest.

Seacrest also asked what Swift's Valentine's Day plans were, to which she responded: "I'm probably going to be with my friends or rehearsing...I'll be like working on the lighting rig and the lighting cues. I don't think I'd rather be anywhere else."

Swift, who is nominated for Record of the Year for Red, hinted that We are Never Getting Back Together is the song she'll likely perform.

"Like, if you got a song nominated for Record of the Year, you might as well perform that. It's a big hint," she said.

She's also nominated for her Hunger Games track Safe & Sound.

The Grammy's will be hosted by LL Cool J and will take place live on Sunday, Feb. 10, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
