Justin Bieber hosted Saturday Night Live on Feb. 9 and opened up the show with a monologue in which he spoke about Valentine's Day and serenaded some of the audience members.

He talked in his monologue about it being "that special time of the year... that romantic time of the year... Black History Month" and also coincidentally Valentine's Day. He went up to one young woman sitting in the audience, holding a rose in his hand, and said to her "you're sexy. You know you're sexy....but did you also know that Phillis Wheatley was the first black woman to publish a book of poems."

He gave a red rose to a second audience member and said to her "girl you're driving me crazy but did you also know that Denzel Washington invented the peanut." At that point SNL cast member Kenan Thompson corrected Bieber, saying that claim was not true.

Bieber said he was looking for his "future Mrs. B.," and noted, "I think this is my girl over here," as he pulled Whoopi Goldberg out of the audience and on to the stage with him, after he gave her a bouquet of flowers. He also serenaded her with a bit from his song One Less Lonely Girl.

Bieber is now the 30th person to both host and perform on SNL. He performed an acoustic version of As Long As You Love Me and Nothing Like Us, the second of which he admitted was inspired by his breakup with Selena Gomez.

During the show he also pretended to be a runaway teenage boy, a guy from Austria who "loves sex," Danny Zucko in a Grease reenactment and a new boyfriend that come home to meet his girlfriend's family but gets attacked by her crazy brother.
