'Empire' Season 2: Series Hit With Another Lawsuit [VIDEO]
Another man has been added to the long list of people suing Fox’s Empire with claims that the story line for the hit show was their idea.

In the latest lawsuit, Romanus Castro is suing the network and co-creators Lee Daniels and Danny Strong for $600 million.
He said that he wrote a movie called The Summit of Beauty of Love about a music writer who has a strong romance with a musician who suffers from schizophrenia.

He tried to sell it back in 2003 but no one bit the bait at the time. He said just like the Lyon family, his characters hail from Philadelphia and are very similar to lead characters such as Cookie and Lucious Lyon. Another likeness is one of the sons coming out as gay just as Jamal Lyon did. He said the show was bold enough to mimic lots of key moments in his book in the debut season that premiered earlier this year.
He is suing for “copyright infringement, injunction and other equitable relief”
The lawsuit comes as Empire is on hiatus until March 30, when it returns for the second half of the season. While many have taken legal action against the show (totaling up to billions of dollars), Daniels and Strong, it doesn’t look like any of them have had success in proving that the parties listed stole the story line to create Empire.
In the show’s defense, Daniels has said in the past that many of the moments come from what he has experienced in his personal life. Strong has also said that Jay Z’s life story inspired the plot.
