Worst 'Bold and the Beautiful' Storylines 2015: 5 Times Fans Of The CBS Soap Were Not Happy With The Direction The Show Took [VIDEOS]
2015 was quite a year for some powerful and shocking storylines on soap operas, but unfortunately not every story was a hit with fans when it came to CBS' The Bold and the Beautiful.
Though the show introduced a landmark change by making main character Maya (Karla Mosley) transgender back in the Spring and examining that struggle as she revealed the truth to her loved ones, the show also had more than a few misses-ones that fans are hoping will be wrapped up with conclusions as quickly as possible when 2016 episodes begin to air.
Here are our five picks for some of the worst storylines the show introduced this year:
The Endless Fighting Over Liam
There's something about Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and the women in the Forrester family it seemed. All year, fans have been watching as he declared his love for Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer), found himself once again tempted by Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), recommitted to Ivy, dumped her for Steffy again, married Ivy when he thought she needed him to stay in the country as a citizen, proposed to Steffy, and then suddenly became the object of Ivy's affections again after she was electrocuted.
However, fans were growing tired over the endless desire of every woman to be with Liam-especially since they all keep seeming to trample all over his poor brother Wyatt (Darin Brooks) to do so.
Maya & Rick Use Nicole As A Surrogate
While Rick's (Jacob Young) acceptance of Maya was touching, and the two eventually marrying was a milestone, their decision to use Maya's sister Nicole (Reign Edwards) as a surrogate so they could be parents was not one that sat well with fans. Unfortunately, that story will still take some time to wrap up as Nicole is only in the early stages of her pregnancy.
Deacon & Brooke Share A Secret
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) was single for the first time in a long time this year-and wasn't handling the fact that all the men of her past were moving on without her earlier in the year. However, after Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Bill (Don Diamont) rejected her for Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) and Katie (Heather Tom), she set her sights on keeping Deacon (Sean Kanan) away from Quinn (Rena Sofer). Not only did she seem to have some hold over him because they were both enrolled in AA, but she also tried sabotaging the couple's wedding by getting a video call with Hope (Kim Matula), begging her father not to go through with the marriage. However, the storyline quickly faded away because Deacon decided to go through with his nuptials, and Brooke has left him alone ever since.
Caroline & Ridge Hijack Her Pregnancy
Originally a breath of fresh air as a couple, Caroline and Ridge quickly became people fans weren't so fond of when they decided to pass off her baby with Thomas (Pierson Fode) as Ridge's. The one hitch in their plan? Ridge had a vasectomy while in Paris and could never father a child again. When the truth finally comes out the fallout is going to be huge.
Thomas Tries Seducing Ivy
Of course, Thomas was finding other ways to handle his heartbreak over not being able to be with Caroline-and not being the father of her child. He started focusing on an attempt to seduce Ivy instead-which was weird since the two are cousins by marriage. Unfortunately, Ivy took the bait and did indulge in a steamy makeout session with him while Wyatt as out of town.
