The beauty world introduced a lot of new trends in 2015, but some should stay in 2015.

Which Music Videos In 2015 Do We Think Were The Best?

We're reviewing a bunch of the trends that easily became hashtags on Twitter, Instagram and elsewhere.

There are many hair-related trends to pick from as well as a few makeup-related trends so we'll list a good mix below.

We Chatted With Makeup Artist Lori Depp About Her Serendeppity Lip Gloss Company & More

Glitter Roots
Glitter became an obsession as much as vibrant pastel colors this year. Basically all this technique requires is some hair gel and a small brush so you can paint the glitter onto your roots. Then it's important to set the glitter with hairspray once it's perfectly settled on your roots.

The downside to this trend is you'll have glitter everywhere for months to come.

Evaluation: The glitter is fun, but leave it in 2015 or use it in shimmery eye shadows and lip colors instead for less of a mess.

Rainbow Roots
Like the technique above, this one is all about the roots too. Bleach London's Alex Brownsell demonstrated this technique on One Direction member Louis Tomlinson's sister Lottie.

It's a cute pop of multiple colors that will really only work on blondes or bleached hair.

Evaluation: It's cute and fun so let it roll into 2016!

Hair Strobing
This technique works on all hair types and is basically your typical highlighting and lowlighting with a tiny twist. That twist is that the lighter and darker colors should be hand painted where the sun would naturally hit your hair.

Evaluation: It's more natural looking than your typical highlights and lowlights so let's keep this trend going into 2016.

Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge
Yikes! Getting lips like this Jenner resulted in a lot of pain for many looking to emulate that plumpness since they placed shot glasses over their lips and sucked until their lips plumped up. The images and videos on social media are too frightening to post.

So if you want lips like Jenner that badly just really define the outline of your lips and use colors that will make your lips appear larger. Plus, Jenner did release her Lip Kits that could help achieve bigger lips too.

Evaluation: If plump lips are your desire go for it, but do so safely. Otherwise we're so over this trend.

Contouring
This was another buzzed about makeup technique. It's basically a technique that sculpts the face, but it's not supposed to be noticeable.

Some people overdo this technique and many people especially makeup artists complain about this technique.

Evaluation: Let it stay in 2015! We've had more than enough of this contour craze.

Red Lips
This is a timeless trend in all honesty. It got spruced up with shimmer and extra shine this year, but it's so simple, clean and pristine.

You really cannot go wrong with a red lip.

Evaluation: Keep it obviously. Red is a great color that comes in various shades so keep experimenting with this fabulous trend.
