Google Now is not just an extension your device’s search engine, it’s also your personal virtual assistant. Voice commands lets and ask your questions to for a fast response. Find out where the nearest deli is, when your next appointment is and even tell you how tall Lebron James is within seconds.

As Gizmodo reports, some functions are exclusive to the updated Android operating system. Since Google Now for iPhone is a have a stripped down version of the app, it’s missing all the bells and whistles of Android native functions. For similar hands-free voice command controls, Team Apple iOS users will have to rely on their girl Siri.

Aside from general search engine commands, the Google Now app lets you execute system commands. Toggle your Wi-Fi wireless connectivity just by speaking the command, “Turn off Wi-Fi” or “Turn on Wi-Fi”. You’ll hear a Siri-esque voice say “Turning on W-Fi” or “Turning off Wi-Fi”, the setting's screen shortcut will pop up on your screen and toggle before your very eyes. You can also use this command to toggle your Bluetooth connection, just say “Turn on Bluetooth” to enable and “Turn off Bluetooth” to disable it. Google Now voice command lets you turn your flashlight on and off, simply say “Turn on Flashlight” or “Turn off Flashlight”. Like magic, your flashlight will turn on or off without you having to lift a finger.

Another cool feature that makes Google Now the ultimate personal assistant is its new message reading function. Like a boss, you can ask the app to “read my messages” or “show my messages” and it will display the last five incoming text messages. Use corresponding voice commands to have the messages read aloud to you or dictate a reply message. For more hands free convenience, you can also launch your favorite apps from your phone using the Google Now app, just say “Open Spotify” or “Go to Spotify” for example. It works on any app including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. If you want to update your Twitter page, speak the command "Post to Twitter" for a shortcut. Web pages can be launched in the same way apps can, just say the URL you want to navigate to, “Go to Enstars.com” for example.

Play music is another fun feature that incorporates another Google app, Google Play Music. Command Google Now by speaking “Play music” and the music app’s radio will select a random song for you. Alternatively, if you have a particular song on your device, you can say “Play [Song title]” and it’ll play exactly what you asked for. Can’t decide what restaurant to go to or what movie to see? Say “Flip a coin” or “Roll dice” and let Google Now choose your destiny. For kicks and tickles, try the commands “Who’s on first?”, “Beam me up, Scotty.”, “What is [Will Smith’s] Bacon number?” and “Make me a sandwich” for some funny voice responses.
