Jamie Dornan might be one of the biggest Hollywood stars in the entertainment business right now, but that doesn't mean that he always loves the roles that he takes on. In fact, the Irish-born actor revealed in a new interview that he has almost nothing in common with a character he plays on the small screen, which has also helped make him a big star.

According to Belfast Live on Sunday, Dornan admitted that one of his most challenging roles to date has not been as Christian Grey in 50 Shades of Grey but instead, his role as Paul Spector in the hit BBC crime thriller, The Fall.

He said, "He is just so heinous and I do not have anything going on in my life like he does in his."

Dornan, who is married to British actress and singer Amelia Warner, also added some insights on how he prepares for his roles.

Dornan explained, "I record both sides of a dialogue and play it on my iPhone and walk around and end up having a conversation with myself. It's strange, but it works."

As far as his one piece of advice for actors who want to make it big in the industry, he suggested calling in sick during auditions.

He joked, "Hope they like some of your previous work and give you the job anyway."
