Kenya Moore's Cancer Scare On 'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' 'Tired' Of All The Drama (WATCH VIDEO)
Sunday's episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta took on a more serious turn when it aired on Bravo.
The season's newcomer, Kenya Moore, paid a visit to her doctor and underwent a biopsy to find out if she had cancer. The former Miss USA learned that she had two lumps in her breast in a previous medical appointment. Moore, 41, expressed her concerns on-camera after she learned about the first set of test results.
"I had my annual mammogram done and I didn't get the best news," said Moore. "The doctor found not one, but two, lumps in my breast. Today I have to have a biopsy."
The Gone With The Wind Fabulous singer said "finding out that I could possibly have cancer is definitely one of the hardest things I've ever had to face."
Moore said that she was "tired" of all her onscreen feuds and that her health was top priority.
"I'm tired of all the drama," said Moore. "I'm tired of things that don't even matter."
Moore eventually learned she was cancer-free during the Sunday episode-as one lump showed no cancer cells and the other was declared benign.
Moore urged her followers on Twitter to stay on top of getting tested for breast cancer while the episode was still on air on Sunday.
"I know the Grammys are on but 2nights episode of #RHOA is very special to me. I encourage anyone that has lost a loved one to cancer 2 watch," Moore tweeted. "Thank u for your prayers. Black women death rate is 41% higher than any other race. Early detection is key. Please get tested #I'mblessed."
Moore then thanked her doctor for providing her with quality medical care.
"I had the most amazing doctor in ATL she has won so many awards but her positive spirit overwhelmed me #BLESSED," she tweeted.
