Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift are Friends; VIDEO of 2013 Grammys Performances
Carrie Underwood denied rumors of her not liking pop singer Taylor Swift and even said that she is a fan of the 23-year-old's music.
An Us Weekly story stated that Grammy executives had to keep the two singers away from each other at the award show on Feb. 10 because "they hate each other." However, Underwood, 29, said in an interview with Gayle King is that she does not have a feud with Swift, 23, - "No, not that I know of" - and that she "really like[s]" Swift's hit I Knew You Were Trouble.
Both singers took to the Grammys stage on Feb. 10. Swift was the show's opening act with a Alice in Wonderland-inspired performance of We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together. She said in an interview with Ryan Seacrest that she was suprised by the request from Grammy executives to headline the night, but that she was excited about it as well.
"I have a lot to plan for with the opening performance and I'm just really hoping all the pieces come together his week. Because this is when it really gets really crazy, but it's all very exciting too," Swift told Seacrest. Watch her Grammys performance video below.
Underwood took to the Grammy stage after Hunter Hayes. She sang Blown Away, the song she won an award for that night, and Two Black Cadillacs. For the performance she wore a floor-lengh gown that became the backdrop for some projection mapping, as visuals shifted throughout Two Black Cadillacs. Underwood told Yahoo News, "They can do a lot of amazing things with projectors these days. We had a dress especially made. I said I should take that home and we can watch movies on it."
