Beyonce Knowles has already covered the January issue of GQ Magazine, performed at the presidential inauguration and the Super Bowl halftime show; she has an HBO documentary premiering in a few days, a Vogue cover due in March, a upcoming tour and album, and she will headline the 2013 Essence Festival. But the most important thing on her mind is her 1-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.

In the March 2013 of Vogue, which features the superstar on the cover, the singer gushed on motherhood and how family changed her life.

"I feel like I have something that has grounded me so much more," she said. "Family has always been important. I've always had my mother and my father and my husband. But it's just... [she paused] Life is so much more than...it's not defined by any of this."

Despite her busy schedule, the Countdown singer said she always finds time for her little girl, calling the 1-year-old her "best friend."

"She's my road dog...she's my homey, my best friend," Beyonce said.

Beyonce said she and her husband Jay-Z want their daughter to have normal life, which includes, "school visits and lemonade stands and all that stuff."

It's very important for me," she said.

Beyoncé's close friend Gwyneth Paltrow shared a story of going to visit the singer in the recording studio where she was joined by Blue Ivy.

"Blue was sleeping in her arms, across her body, and B was listening back to what she had been working on," Paltrow said. "I thought, This is how you do it. You do what you love with who you love included."

Beyoncé said her new music "is a lot more sensual . . . empowering." It celebrates being a wife and a mother, reflecting the changes in her life.

"Right now, after giving birth, I really understand the power of my body," she said. "I just feel my body means something completely different. I feel a lot more confident about it. Even being heavier, thinner, whatever. I feel a lot more like a woman. More feminine, more sensual. And no shame."

On Feb. 10, Beyonce nabbed the Best Traditional R&B Performance Grammy for Love on Top. The singer will also sit down with Oprah Winfrey on Feb. 16 for an exclusive interview that will air on Oprah's Next Chapter, announced by Winfrey on Feb. 10 via Twitter.

"Can't wait to talk to @Beyonce. Special #Next Chapter on OWN Saturday night 8/7c," Winfrey wrote. "Yea u heard that correctly. BEYONCE and I sit down Saturday nite. #NextChapter."
