Hailee Steinfeld has been in the entertainment business since a young age, but it was only this year that she branched out into music as a recording artist.

With her EP Haiz that dropped just last month, she geared up to play at multiple shows on the Jingle Ball Tour earlier this month.
The "Hell Nos and Headphones" singer revealed to Teen Vogue in a recent interview that she gained some solid sage advice from a couple of friends in the music industry, but neither happens to be Taylor Swift.

It turns out Ed Sheeran and Meghan Trainor helped calm Steinfeld enough and give her reassurance that she would be great on stage as she played to crowds in Tampa and Miami, FL; Chicago, IL; Washington D.C.; New York, NY; Boston, MA; Philadelphia, PA; Saint Paul, MN and Los Angeles, CA.
What did these two talented musicians tell the then-18-year-old?
"Right before I started, I was under the weather and I was talking to Ed Sheeran. I'm like, 'Help me, what do I do?' and he was like, 'Just go out there, have fun, relax. It'll be the best thing you'll ever experience,'" Steinfeld recalled of the British musician's advice.
"I've seen him live and he puts on the most incredible show, and I admire him as an artist and person," she added about Sheeran.
Then, at her first Jingle Ball gig, Trainor gave her further words of wisdom.
"And when I did the L.A. Jingle Ball, it was my first show. I was literally about to go on stage and Meghan Trainor was standing right next to me. I was like, 'Meghan, I'm nervous. Help me!' She said, 'Don't be! Go out and dance and have a good time!'" Steinfeld dished.
The advice both artists gave her is pretty simple, but totally true.
"As crazy as it sounds, all you have to do is go out there and have fun, and the people who are watching you have a good time. And that's what's so great about doing this--having friends there to remind me," Steinfeld concluded.
