Even though stills from the midseason premiere of The Good Wife show Alicia (Julianna Margulies) by Eli's (Alan Cumming) side at one of Peter's (Chris Noth) campaigns, she might slowly be getting to her breaking point.

Could Hillary Clinton Guest Star In An Upcoming Episode?

In the preview for the episode, Alicia is seen physically lashing out at Eli for having kept Will's (Josh Charles) voicemail from her years ago. And we get the feeling this is not the last of the manic behavior Eli (and probably any politically-motivated person) will see from her.

She might be accompanying Peter on his campaign but might be imploding and this might deeply affect candidacy, as she might act up anytime. Also, she will probably not be careful about keeping up the farce of their marriage, Alicia might be more bold about pursuing any romantic interests she might have.

Chances Of CBS Legal Drama's Renewal Look Slim

All of this might lead to a big loss and cost Peter his chances at a win. Also, considering he is running against Hillary Clinton in the fictional realm, it seems likely that this time around Peter might not emerge victorious.

The midseason premiere episode, titled "Iowa,"' will actually show Alicia being forced to work in close quarters with Eli as the duo set off to campaign for Peter in Iowa.

Season 7 will return on January 10.
