The Young and the Restless in 2016 is off to a start with lots of complications as Billy (Burgess Jenkins) fights for his life since getting beat up by his bookie and then run over with Noah's (Robert Adamson) car.

How Does Abby's Wedding Dress On 'The Young and the Restless' Capture Her Personality?

Luckily Marisa (Sofia Pernas) happened to find Billy, but it's certainly going to be an uphill battle.

In the upcoming week of Jan. 4 through Jan. 8, the episodes of the soap opera will feature a lot of mixed emotions by the other Genoa City residents in regard to Billy.

In the sneak peek teaser trailer below that is called "Beating The Odds," Jack (Peter Bergman) is seen in the hospital stating, "My brother has a 50/50 shot at living."

A medical staff member reveals to Jack and Phyllis (Tognoni) that "machines are keeping Billy alive right now" in another clip.

Then, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is seen stating, "He wouldn't wanna live like that," so does that mean she'll pull the plug since machines are what's keep him going?

Probably not considering Jason Thompson earned the role of Billy when the soap opera's bosses decided to do a recast. Although, there is always a chance for an impersonation storyline since it has been done before on The Young and the Restless. Thompson is coming in as Billy, but perhaps he really isn't Billy.

Anyway, many of the Genoa City residents, including Victoria wind up in tears over Billy. Will he pull through? Be sure to tune in to find out!

The Young and the Restless airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
