'Call The Midwife' Actress Reveals Something She 'Can't Believe'
On Saturday, Daily Mail posted details from Kate Lamb (Delia) whose character has a romance with Nurse Patsy. As they continue with their love affair, the actress pointed out why this story is so captivating.
"Back then, lesbianism wasn't illegal because Queen Victoria didn't believe it even existed. It was something no one talked about, but something some women had to struggle with," Lamb said. "But we are making a teatime show that is watched by families. The reason it works and the reason we get a big response from the audience is that the emphasis isn't on sex, it's on the relationship."

It was also revealed that the characters ended up kissing- but is that going to be shown on television?
"We did kiss- but we don't know yet whether or not that kiss will be shown," Lamb revealed. "It's up to the producers and executives to decide."
Victoria Yeates, who plays Sister Winifred on the series, then revealed why she loves portraying her character since it's so different from other roles she's played.
"In this show you don't have to worry about your hair , your figure or what you are wearing- all you need to do is focus on the part you are playing," Yeates said. "That's why I find her one of the most liberating parts I have ever played. I love her."
Call the Midwife Season 5 is expected to premiere in the United States on Sunday, April 3 on PBS.
