Billy (Burgess Jenkins) is barely hanging on in the episode of The Young and the Restless airing today, Jan. 5.

How Does Abby's Wedding Dress On 'The Young and the Restless' Capture Her Personality?

The medical staff tending to him in the hospital is going to have to restart his heart with a defibrillator.

Jill (Jess Walton), Jack (Peter Bergman), Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will watch as the medical team works on Billy in order to keep him going as seen in the sneak peek below.

"Come on, Billy," Ashley even mutters as she and the others watch, hoping for the best.

Meanwhile, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) appears to finally be feeling a sense of guilt since she kept pushing Billy away instead of giving him another chance to straighten himself out. In the sneak peek above, she walks toward his hospital room, but a nurse shuts the door, which leads to hysterical crying from her in Nikki's (Melody Thomas Scott) arms.

Will Billy survive? Well, Soaps claims he will, but just barely. He needs surgery, which Jill will sign for in hopes that he will pull through it.

Plus, in this episode Paul (Doug Davidson) will continue his search to find who ran Billy over. Noah (Robert Adamson) is keeping quiet on the matter though since Victor (Eric Braeden) advised him to do so, which isn't totally sitting right with him.

The Young and the Restless airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
