Niall Horan Says One Direction Hasn’t “Gone Hollywood”
Even with sold out concerts across the globe and throngs of screaming fans, Niall Horan assures that his group One Direction is not letting the noise get to their heads. The group of five from the UK is currently working on their new film, 1D Goes 3D. While shooting the film based on their life as global pop icons, Niall Horan says the quintet has avoided “going Hollywood” at all cost.
Horan, 18, gave BBC Radio 1 an update on how the filming process was coming along.
"We're still shooting at the moment. We forget the camera are there and just go off on a tangent. We're lucky enough that no-one has gone Hollywood!"
The boy band has a group of tour dates lined up to promote their album Take Me Home, with the first show to take place on Feb 23 at the 02 Arena in London.
Recently, Horan topped We Love Pop Magazine’s Valentine’s Day poll as the guy most girls want to marry. The young singer beat out his rival boy-bander, Nathan Sykes of The Wanted, Justin Bieber, and Tom Daley among others.
The magazine editor, Malcolm Mackenzie admitted Harry Styles was an expected fan favorite in the poll, so they were shocked that Horan won; citing his clean cut image gave him an edge.
“Like most people, we expected Harry Styles to come out top – but it seems girls are getting fed up with pop stars who cover themselves in tattoos, smoke and jump from one girlfriend to the next.”
The most popular girlfriend in that reference is country singer, Taylor Swift. Swift, 23, recently ripped into the band member at the Grammy awards with her performance of We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. She mocked her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles with a British accent, saying, ""So he calls me up and he's like, 'I still love you,' and I'm like, 'I'm sorry, I'm busy opening up the Grammy's!' And we're never getting back together, like, ever."
