Sex and the City is and will always be one of the greatest shows of all time. As if we couldn't love it more, actress Cynthia Nixon just recently revealed yet another reason to find ourselves binging on the show again.

ELLE reports that everything we saw on the show indeed happened in real life. "They had a rule in the writing that they couldn't put anything in an episode that didn't literally happen to someone in the writer's room or someone they knew firsthand," she says. "It couldn't be, like, my father's brother's sister's shoe repair guy heard once that, you know. So the outlandish physical, sexual things that happened-they really did happen," Cynthia explains.

That time Skipper broke up with another girl while "inside her" (Miranda) or that time Carrie dated an older politician? Real, real, real! And don't get us started with Samantha's bedroom adventures.

"The reason why this was the greatest job known to mankind is that basically we spent the first weeks - and in general the whole job - just talking about our dating lives," former Sex and the City writer Liz Tuccillo said in a recent interview. "We were all dating, so we would go out at night and come in the next morning and have some crazy story-or a story about someone else. ... In the writers' room we heard some of the more shocking things that people could say about sex that we could imagine."

Whew! Now who's up for another SATC marathon?
