McCready Shot Dog Before Self, Had Attempted Suicide Three Times, Called Life 'Beautiful Mess' (Video)
Former country sensation Mindy McCready took her own life in what appeared to be a suicide on Sunday at her home in Heber Springs, Ark. However, she also allegedly shot and killed the family dog prior to her suicide.
According to Daily Mail, McCready, 37, reportedly committed the act on the same front porch where her live-in boyfriend David Wilson was found dead just one month earlier. She'd been facing suspicion from authorities following his death, as he also died from a gunshot wound on Jan. 13.

While being interviewed last month, McCready revealed that the now dead dog had found the bullet that pierced Wilson and tried to eat it.
"I didn't find the bullet, the dog did. It was in the dog's mouth. I mean, that's a horrific things to say, but it was in the dog's mouth," she told Dateline NBC.
Baxter Bulletin reports that McCready had attempted suicide at least three times prior to 2005, as she tried to cope with struggles related to a slew of tumultuous public events that occurred throughout much of her adulthood.
While speaking to The Associated Press in 2010, the late McCready elaborated on her highly publicized issues she dealt with over the years.
"It is a giant whirlwind of chaos all the time. I call my life a beautiful mess and organized chaos. It's just always been like that. My entire life things have been attracted to me and vica versa that turn into chaotic nightmares or I create the chaos myself. I think that's really the life of a celebrity, of a big, huge, giant personality," she explained.
The country singer's death comes just days after her release from rehab. A judge had ordered her to be committed to a mental health facility after she said she'd been excessively drinking. McCready's father said that she' been abusing prescriptions drugs.
McCready was in the treatment center for one day before she was given permission to go back home earlier in the month.
