Leonardo DiCaprio Golden Globes 2016: Actor Wins For 'The Revenant,' What Does This Mean For Oscars? [VIDEO]
Is this about to be Leonardo DiCaprio's most memorable year?
Is Leonardo DiCaprio Ready To Settle Down?
The movie star won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Drama for the film The Revenant. This was his third win and 10th nomination. He previously won for The Wolf of Wall Street and The Aviator.
While this is good news for the actor, it's a possibility he might receive even better news pretty soon. Considering that he won the Golden Globe, this leads a high chance that he'll at least be nominated for an Oscar- not to mention, a decent chance of finally winning one.
Does 'The Revenant' Have A Promising Future For Leonardo DiCaprio?
As much of the public is aware of, DiCaprio has been nominated for an Oscar four times and has still yet to win. When he won his two other Golden Globes, he managed to get nominated for the same role only to be beaten out by someone else. But now that he's won again, does this mean the cycle will continue? Or, will the moment finally happen when he gives his acceptance speech at the Oscars?
Only time will tell at this point if he'll even be nominated this year. One thing that's expected for sure is that if he doesn't even receive a nomination, he'll be known as one of the biggest snubs.
DiCaprio's previous Oscar nominations included Best Actor in The Wolf of Wall Street, Blood Diamond and The Aviator. He was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor in What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
