Did Beyonce and Jay-Z choose Oprah as the godmother for Blue Ivy?
There have been a slew of rumors and reports since Beyonce gave birth to her and Jay-Z’s first child, Blue Ivy Carter, on Jan. 7 and now there seems to be a new one.
Many people wondered who Beyonce and Jay-Z would name as Blue Ivy’s godparents and it looks as though they made their choice and evidently the god mother is one of the most powerful women in the world, Oprah!
Mediatakeout.com is reporting that Beyonce and Jay-Z chose Oprah and Jay-Z’s best friend Tyran "Ty Ty" Smith as the godparents for baby Blue. A source says that Oprah has become a close, personal friend of Beyonce’s and Jay-Z’s and that the superstar couple wanted to name people that were not family members as the godparents.
If reports are true, Oprah has wasted no time in spoiling her new goddaughter. She reportedly sent over a trunk full of books when Blue Ivy was born.
