Jared Fogle News: Subway Man's Attorney Has Cancer, What Does This Mean For Appeal? [VIDEO]
Bad news has been released for Jared Fogle's attorney.
Jared Fogle's Divorce Gets Finalized
The lawyer representing the former Subway spokesman who remains behind bars has reportedly been diagnosed with prostate cancer, according to Wednesday's report from TMZ. If Fogle had been looking for a shorter prison sentence, odds are likely that won't be recognized for a while.
The man is in jail on charges of child pornography and soliciting child prostitutes, but his attorney Ronald L. Berger is battling his illness. It seems that his diagnosis is so serious that he couldn't work on the case until recently.
FBI Informant 'Still Has Nightmares' About Jared Fogle Scandal
Apparently, Fogle is requesting a 25 day extension to complete paperwork for an appeal. If Berger's health doesn't improve, then there will be a backup named Brad Dick, a law firm associate.
Fogle's activity became a massive scandal with frightening details released. In an interview with Perez Hilton, FBI informant Rochelle Hernan mentioned how damaged she feels from being part of this case.
"I still have nightmares about the children, the very young children, Fogle bragged about," Herman said. "But I do NOT regret helping the FBI take this monster off the street. I would do it again. My biggest fear now is that he will be out one day, amongst the public again."
The informant then gave advice to parents on how they should go with what they're feeling.
"Parents must NEVER dismiss that voice in their heads or waive any feelings that someone is off or not right," Hernan informed. "Trust your instincts and be vigilant."
