'Growing Up Hip Hop' Cast: Egypt Criss Feels The Pressure In A New Teaser [VIDEO]
In the new episode of WeTV's Growing Up Hip Hop, we meet Egypt Criss, the daughter of Pepa from Salt N Pepa and Treach from Naughty By Nature. Egypt is definitely following in her mother's footsteps.

But it’s pretty difficult for her to break out of her shadow as Pepa is determined to be there every step of the way. Still, Egypt is ready to make a mark of her own.
Pepa is gearing up to bring out Egypt at a special Soul Food Festival in the clip. Egypt said Pepa told her to give performing a try to see how she likes it. If she’s a fan of it, they’ll move forward with her career. While they were practicing Egypt doesn’t get too far into Salt N Pepa’s hit Shoop before Pepa starts offering up her advice.

“I need you to project your voice more.”
Egypt then admits that she’s starting to feel the pressure.
“I feel like I’m gonna have to live up to a lot of people’s expectations…”
Still, Pepa has no problem letting Egypt know she has to be “Serious and strong.”
And Egypt is worried she’ll mess up big time by flubbing over the lyrics, singing off key or just not impressing the crowd the way her mother does.
Pepa tells Egypt she needs to “go for it” because she has her own apprehensions about Egypt jumping into the music industry to begin with.
