Brandil Glanville said in a recent interview with Life & Style magazine that her ex-husband's new wife LeAnn Rimes needs to seek professional help for being unstable and not responsible around the reality star's children.

Rimes entered a 30-day rehab program in August of 2012 to develop better skills to deal with exhaustion and stress. However, the 30-year-old singer has reportedly shown concerning behavior, such as skipping events she was scheduled to attend or when she broke down crying during an interview with E! News' Giuliana Rancic in Decemeber.

Rimes' actions made Glanville, 40, fear for the safety of her two boys - Mason, 9, and Jake, 5 - when they are in the care of the Grammy winner.

"LeAnn needs to get help," Glanville told the magazine. "She may be unstable and I am concerned; I want to protect [my children]. I want to make sure she's as healthy as she can be! There are clearly some issues going on and I need to know my kids are okay when they're with [LeAnn]!"

A rep for Rimes, Marcel Pariseau, said Glanville's claims of the county singer being unstable are untrue, adding, "this is a ploy to sell more books. If anyone needs help, it's Brandi."

The issue of Life & Style with Glanville's interview is out on newsstands now.

Glanville is currently touring to promote her new book Drinking and Tweeting: And Other Brandi Blunders. In it, Glanville discussed the intimate details of her marriage to actor Eddie Cibrian and talked in length about how Rimes acted both during the affair and after.

The reality star detailed the "most passionate sex" she would have with Cibrian after nasty arguments during their marriage and the plastic surgery she got after she separated from the actor, in which she made him pay for.

Cibrian and Rimes began dating in 2009 after meeting on the set of their Lifetime television movie Northern Light. Both were married to other people at the time: Cibrian and Glanville already had their two children and Rimes was married to Dean Sheremet.
