Blue Bloods is about to get mighty dangerous where a (possibly important) character might wind up dead.

Chatter On 'Blue Bloods' Rape Case

On Saturday, a promo for the next episode was released where Frank is showing his gratitude for being in the service. But that doesn't stop others from telling him to pretty much get right out of the office.

This is when the news comes of someone shooting up a Subway car. Frank is stuck figuring the situation out and tells the guy to turn himself in. But it doesn't sound like it'll lead in that direction.

Joe Reagan Gets Brought Up On 'Blue Bloods'

It gets even crazier when Erin is caught in an incident where she and a bunch of other people might be held hostage from a man with a gun. It seems like she might be able to talk him out of hurting anyone, but is there a possibility it won't work? And if not, could she be the one to take a bullet?

See the promo below.

Meanwhile, Bridget Moynahan (Erin) previously opened up with Phil Star on how challenging it can be for the show to take on new storylines; keeping everything new though can lead to more enticing moments.

"Being on an ensemble, every script is different so sometimes my character might work a little bit and then, sometimes, it might work a lot," the actress said. "So it goes to this ebb and flow of the material. And when you get the opportunity to have a juicier storyline on a certain episode, you just really dive into it and really try to make the most of it."

Blue Bloods airs on Fridays at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
