While Rihanna was away celebrating her birthday in Hawaii with her boyfriend Chris Brown, a suspicious man was arrested for attempting to break-in her brand new Pacific Palisades Mansion. An unidentified man was detained by neighbors and held until police arrived after he was caught snooping around the Diamonds singer's luxury property.

The man was presumed to be a possible intruder because he broke into another home next door thinking it belonged to the pop singer. Neighbors became suspicious after they caught him snooping around the house. They questioned the man and realized that he didn't belong there, so they held him until local police arrived. The man in question was taken into custody and then arrested for burglary.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the suspect said he was given instructions in an email on how to get into Rihanna's home. The instructions worked- but not for Rihanna's house. The suspect made it inside another home right next neighbor to the pop singer's. The intruder broke into her neighbor's home thinking it belonged to the Bajan beauty. Thankfully, the neighbors caught him snooping around before he took anything and realized he was not in her house.

Enstars reported that Rihanna purchased the stunning $12 million mansion in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles, Calif. in December. The 25-year-old singer's new home is around 11,000 square feet, sits on a 33,541 sq. ft. lot and has a 6,000 sq. ft. backyard.

The palatial estate has seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, an extra-large dining room with a 14-foot ceiling, media rooms, and a four-car garage, according to X17 Online. Aerial shots of the home show an outdoor barbecue and bar area, a wide swimming pool, a sun deck, Jacuzzi.
