Dave Navarro Expresses Excitement For New Season Of 'Ink Master'

A contestant named Ashley Velazquez from Connecticut will be in the competition for Season 7 where she sounds more than determined to be the new champion of the tattoo world. And she is not going to let the fact that she is a young woman make any changes in her chances of winning.

"My gender doesn't affect me at all," she said in the video released on Wednesday below. "I'm better than most guys."

Dave Navarro Reveals Premiere Date For 'Ink Master' Season 7

"What people like to do on Ink Master is they like to pick on the young one," she continued. "So somebody young has to win this competition."

Based on her work ethic and attitude, Velazquez sounds like she knows exactly what to do when painting ink on someone. With her creativity, she can do more than just print what's off a computer.

The contestant admitted that even though she looks like "America's Sweetheart," she is "very competitive" and a "sore loser."

The clip even shows a brief moment when the artist is not having it with the other competitors and is not afraid of telling it like it is.

"Doing well in this competition is important because I'm very good at what I do," Velazquez said. "So I just want my name on a higher level."
