Lisa Rinna has lost her father.

After opening up about Frank's health troubles on an early episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season six, the soap star turned reality star announced her father passed away on Instagram on Thursday.
"The World lost a Great Man today......Heaven got a great Angel. I love you Dad," Rinna wrote to fans.

Rinna also shared to twos of paintings created by Frank, and later thanked fans on Twitter for their well-wishes.

After filming a phone call with her parents during an early episode of season six, Rinna opened up about her family in her Bravo Blog.
"It’s so hard living as far from my aging parents as I do," she wrote. "Laughter has helped us get through some pretty tough times together and for that I am grateful. I love my parents dearly, though I think my dad’s days are numbered. It’s just a matter of time now. Please say prayers for him to go peacefully."
