Adele Oscar Acceptance Speech 2013 VIDEO for 'Skyfall' Best Orignal Song
Adele could not hold back tears as she accepted her Oscar for Best Original Song for Skyfall in Sunday night.
The film, part of a franchise which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, was also joint winner in the sound editing category.
"Thank you so much, this is amazing!" Adele said.
She paid tribute to James Bond producer, Barbara Broccoli and others involved in the film, before thanking her boyfriend Simon Konecki. "And my man," she said. "I love you baby."
Adele and Konecki have a four-month-old son, Angelo.
The 24-year-old already nabbed a Grammy Award and a BRIT Award for the song earlier in the year. The Associated Press reported that at rehearsals on Saturday for her Skyfall performance, Adele blew the Dolby Theatre audience consisted of only production staff for the award show.
"I feel like Beyonce," she said. "I'm really excited. Rehearsals have gone well."
On a sparkling stage in an equally sparkly ensemble, Adele followed up on Shirley's Bassey's performance of "Goldfinger" earlier in the night.
The 24-year-old also revealed where her celebrations would be. "I think I'm going to the Vanity Fair party, so that'll be quite nice. But I've got to get up at six, so one glass of champagne and I'm gone these days."
The cast of Les Miserables - including Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Eddie Redmayne - along with others performed a musical tribute to the revival of big-screen musicals during the last decade. The performance included Jennifer Hudson, who won a supporting actress Oscar for her role in the 2006 film Dreamgirls, and Catherine Zeta -Jones, whose character in the film adaptation of Chicago also landed her an Oscar.
The English singer-songwriter looked breathtaking at the awards show in a beaded black tulle Jenny Packham gown with sheer sleeves.
