The "We Belong Together" singer had happily announced her engagement with Australian Billionaire, James Packer on Thursday, Jan. 21. Before actually tying the knot, the love birds have one small hurdle to get over - reports dished out that the two are still married to other people.
Reports gathered by TMZ said the iconic singer is still not divorced with comedian Nick Cannon. Sources close to the former couple said that they have still not fully settled their financial issues, despite the fact there was a very specific prenup.

Previously, TMZ also revealed that last August Mariah felt Nick was dragging his feet to gain leverage in the money department. A video was obtained by the same site of Carey and her lawyers during a Malibu dinner meeting, where they were trying to find some pressure points they could use to make Nick sign off. It was told that Mariah and Nick are now getting along, and they're in the process of resolving the remaining issues so they can finalize the divorce.
Apparently not only the 41-year-old diva is having a few difficulties with previous marriage, her current fiancé has also a few problems to deal with.

The 48-year-old businessman, James Packer, reportedly he's still married to Erica Packer. They separated in 2013 and she's moved on as well ...she’s now dating Seal. But TMZ have learned that the laws in Australia have slowed the divorce process way down.
On the other note, The America’s Got Talent host reveals that he filed divorce to Carey way back in December 2014 but the paper works are yet to be finalized Us Weekly, wrote.
Cannon also admits with Yahoo Insider last August 2014 that he and Mariah are not living together anymore, that they had been residing in separate houses “for a few months.”
