'Call The Midwife' Season 5 News: Barbara Might Take Things Further With Tom As Winifred Is Caught In Rough Situation [VIDEO]
Things are going to get pretty enticing in several different storylines on Call the Midwife.
'Call The Midwife' To Spread Awareness Of Medical Disaster?
On Sunday, Carter Matt released a new synopsis of an upcoming episode in the fifth season when Trixie might face her worst nightmare- Tom moving on to someone else. In this case, it sounds like it'll specifically be Barbara who agrees to have dinner with him. Clearly, she's hesitant about it based on how Trixie will react, but it's not known what that might entail.
Another dramatic moment will involve typhoid erupting and whoever is carrying it might be a threat to a close family.
Is There Going To Be A Sixth Season For 'Call The Midwife?'
Plus, Sister Winifred has a difficult choice to make when she finds out that a married man got a local teacher pregnant. But the woman will try to do things in a way that may not be best, leaving Winifred with the dilemma.
Meanwhile, Charlotte Ritchie (Barbara) opened up to Express on the challenging relationship her character will have with Tom with Trixie in the picture. Unfortunately, Trixie might have to see her ex-fiance move on right in front of her.
"She can't help but see him around," Ritchie revealed. "And we left Barbara and Tom in a place where they're not together and don't know what's necessarily going to happen with Trixie and Tom. So this interesting hint at the end of episode one stirs things up a bit."
Call the Midwife Season 5 is expected to premiere on Sunday, April 3 on PBS.
