In a sneak peek released on Tuesday, Henry is participating in a little drag race competition, something that Mary does not like to see. When the two vehicles drive by and blow dust on the side of the road, Mary mentions to Tom that it's risky and she "just hates it."

Tom reminds her that there's no such thing as slow motor racing, but that doesn't change how she feels. He then adds that love is never safe and to experience the reality of it is giving someone the power to hurt.

'Downton Abbey' Producer Admits Series Could Have Lasted Longer

Considering that Mary has always been the sassy type to never let vulnerability show, she shrugs this off and puts on her lipstick- although deep down she probably knows that Tom is right.

Meanwhile, there's been some speculation that the British drama might get a movie following the final season. Executive producer Gareth Neame previously mentioned that he's "keen" on the idea.

"There is no script and no firm plan, but it's certainly something there is talk of," Neame said via The Sun. "We're not in denial about anything. We'll know more next year."

Downton Abbey airs on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on PBS. This marks the final chapter for the show.
