Louis Tomlinson Son: One Direction Singer's Baby Freddie Tommo Already A Social Media Star? [PHOTOS]
Step aside, Saint West. Move over, Blue Ivy Carter. You may have been Hollywood royalty from when you were still in utero, but you've let your brands slip. If you want to talk about a real social media star (who's barely a week old), it's all about Freddie Tomlinson (Or Freddie Tommo, as his father calls him). The newborn son of One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson and Briana Jungwirth came into the world with much aplomb on January 27th. Since then, little Freddie has been steadily building a social media empire. See how the tiny tyke is already a huge online celebrity--not bad for someone still in diapers!
He Made A Grand Entrance
Freddie's first introduction to the world came via social media; his proud father posed with the tiny infant in a sweet Twitter pic. Not only did this let Tomlinson's legion of fans get a look at the One Directioner's baby, it laid to rest those enduring rumors that due to a bad bet the infant was going to be dubbed with the name Conchobar. (Another pervading rumor was that they planned to name the child Sydney Rain.) But ultimately, Freddie Tomlinson was the chosen moniker of the baby, and fans greeted him with due enthusiasm.
He Has His Own Domain
Predicting (accurately) that little Freddie was going to be a huge deal online, his loving family took steps to ensure his digital future was protected; namely, they secured his website. Within minutes of Louis and Briana proudly introducing their bundle of joy to the world at large, www.FreddieTomlinson.com was already registered to the family. Talk about planning ahead.
He Has Imitators
On the other hand, maybe securing the domain name isn't planning ahead at all--maybe it's just good common sense. You see, while Tomlinson learns to be a hands-on dad and grapples with feeding schedules and diapers, the Internet has been busy working on a truly impressive number of social media accounts surrounding his newborn son. While most are just fan accounts that record updates and pictures of Freddie (not to mention his superstar father), a few are decidedly different, namely the ones pretending to be baby Freddie. While some of these are clearly satirical, meant to poke fun at the pop culture mania surrounding a person who is less than a month old, others seem to be sincere first person narratives that fans have created to honor the little tyke. Maybe Freddie's family should have locked down his Twitter and Instagram handles while they were getting the domain name.
He Has More Likes Than You
It's hard to be upstaged by a baby (even one as cute and famous as Freddie Tomlinson), but it's time we accept that this kid has everyone beaten. The newborn is already living the high life, being driven to doctor's appointments by limo and getting pampered by his doting parents. But as if that's not enough, he's already an online superstar. Don't try to argue; the kid was getting more likes on his Instagram photos back when he was still in the womb: this photo posted by pregnant mom Briana got nearly 64,000 likes. The photo of Freddie cuddled up with his shirtless dad has already soared past 1.7 million. Face it; Freddie Tomlinson already rules social media. Just imagine when he gets the motor skills to post stuff himself.
